Large-scale solar facilities are critical to meet New York State's ambitious climate and renewable energy goals. This renewable energy transition however often entails converting agricultural or other rural land to solar energy. One question is what impact is solar development having on property values in New York State?

Cornell Dyson school agricultural and extension economist Wendong Zhang will share recent research findings that examines the property value impacts of large-scale solar facilities and energy infrastructure for residential homeowners as well as farmland owners.
