The Basics of Cider Apple Pruning

Join the ENYCHP at Scrumpy Ewe Cider on March 1^st for a cider apple pruning demonstration. We will be joined by Dr. Greg Peck, who will walk us through the basics of pruning apple trees for hard cider production. Some topics we will cover include:

• Training and pruning low and high vigor varieties to a tall spindle training system
• Training and pruning low and high vigor varieties to a semi-dwarf central leader system
• How to prune large, old, seedling trees

 $15 to attend, registration is limited to 22 people.

 After the meeting ends, attendees may stick around to sample some of Scrumpy Ewe's ciders for an additional fee.
