July 15, 2019On July 15th the Cornell Khan Pathology Lab, in association with Apple Leaf, will be hosting an orchard Drone Demonstration at the VanDeWalle Sharps Farm in Alton NY.
The Khan Lab has been gathering orchard data and developing interpretive programs for tree stresses and they'd like to share and showcase the new technologies and discuss its practical applications.
The Demo will begin at 9am at the barn on VanDeWalle's Sharps Farm, the site address is 9028 Ridge Rd (Rte 143) Alton NY, and the main barn sits on the North Side of the Road with an ample parking lot.
Preliminary Schedule is as follows:

Camera Options (What's on the market & what works)
Aerial Drone models (What works for orchard scouting)
Software (Programs that you need to interpret the camera data)
9:30 - Drone Flight
